Personal Support Specialist (PSS)

BHSI has an agreement with the Department of Health & Human Services-Division of Licensing & Regulatory Services (DHHS-DLRS) to provide training for people who are interested or currently certified to teach the Personal Support Specialist (PSS) curriculum in the State of Maine. BHSI oversees all aspects of the PSS Train-the-Trainer program including scheduling, registrations, and delivery.

BHSI will deliver a three-day Train-the-Trainer to certify PSS trainers who will provide the training to direct care workers in provider agencies, adult education programs, and private training facilities. This training covers Principles of Adult Learning, the fifteen modules of the PSS curriculum and a presentation of training skills.
