The Behavioral Health Sciences Institute (bhsi) is a collaboration of Spurwink and the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA). The collaboration's mission is to improve the quality and range of behavioral health services through training and research.
BHSI is conducting a BHP Trainer Update Training Session that is MANDATORY for all currently Certified BHP Trainers; please be sure to read the announcement and download the registration form and get it in to Faith Hauger. The Department of Education has requested that the Behavioral Health Sciences Institute create and implement a 28-hour School-Based BHP training curriculum for employees who work under MaineCare Sections 65 Day Treatment & 28 School-Based RCS.
Upon curriculum development completion, BHSI will provide five (5) state-wide School-Based BHP Train-the-Trainer courses to schools and agencies who are interested in offering the BHP training to staff who are/will be providing school-based behavioral health treatment services under the MaineCare Sections 65-Day Treatment & 28 School-Based RCS.
