eCampusBHSI E-CampusSept 20, 2011: BHSI would like to announce that we are now accepting registrations for the online BHP Module 1 Provisional Certification Program. This online course option is not meant to replace the live training; it is an alternative option to the live training. Agencies now have the opportunity to continue providing the live training as always and also have the option to take advantage of the online option as needed or when necessary. Any agencies wishing to have their staff participate in the Online Module 1 Provisional Certification process option are required to register each participant. The Online E-Campus Registration/ETED Form must be completed online and submitted electronically. The registration form will allow you to register up to six (6) participants at one time. If you are registering more than six participants, you will need to submit multiple forms at this time. All registration fields are required to be completed to register each participant. Please be sure to enter each participant's name as it should appear on their Provisional BHP Certificate. Along with the registration data you will also be required to include the Educational, Training and Employment Documentation (ETED) data. This information must be received before any certificates can be issued. Please be sure to have all this data available to you when registering your participants. When completed, please print the form to save a copy of your form before you select the SUBMIT FORM button. **PLEASE NOTE** Registration for all participants must be submitted by an approved DHHS Provider Agency. Individual registrations are not accepted at this time - if you wish to enroll, please contact your agency and have them enroll you. The registration form must be completed and submitted by the approved agency contact only. If you do not see your agency name or location available in the drop-down list on the form, please contact us via email at tpillsbury@bhsi.net to confirm your eligibility. BHSI Approved Certified BHP Trainers that you may have on staff with your agency will be responsible for overseeing the participants registered in the agency group. The Trainer will be registered with the group and will be provided with the appropriate access to oversee the participant's progress. The Trainer will need to be accessible to the participant in the event he or she has any questions that pertain to your agency specific requirements. Ø For agencies with a Certified BHP Trainer - Select the trainer's name in the appropriate box (all certified trainers are listed in the drop down box). Behavioral Health Sciences Institute (BHSI) will receive the submitted form and will process it within 24 business hours (Mon-Fri). ResearchResearch Survey UpdateThe research questions for the survey have been completed and are ready to be administered to the states who received the request to participate in the survey. The states contacted were: Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, Colorado, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Letters were sent out to each of the representatives chosen at the end of November. The letter requesting their participation noted that they were free to choose whether they would like to participate via telephone interview or if they were more comfortable with the online format they could participate online through SurveyMonkey™. We were pleased to have received responses from 10 states out of the 20 who were contacted! Appointments and times are currently being scheduled to conduct the interviews for the data collection. Our first scheduled appointment [via phone] will be on Monday 2/7/2011 with the state of Vermont. The target date for the completion of the surveys will be March. The data will then be compiled and analyzed for an article; we are optimistic that it will be published this spring. |
